How to heal your gut

If you struggle with a chronic stomach issue or you just had a rough week with your GI system, here's my move to FIX it. It's not creative or fancy by any means, but it's quick, cheap, and does the work. I recommend eating this meal for lunch every day for about a week. It’s quite boring for that week but it’s totally worth it.

The main purpose of this meal is to fix how my stomach feels quickly, so I can get back to my normal digestive routine. This plan is not really for people with normally functioning digestive systems who wants to eat as healthy as possible. It's not a super hyped or trendy meal, but it's basic and it works. It's especially for you if you don't have the time to get creative with your cooking skills while observing all your food preferences/sensitivities. Juggling all of that once can be really exhausting!

My lunch on repeat for a week of healing is:

- GF grain (rice, quinoa, buckwheat)
- A nice portion of rotisserie chicken (the STAR ingredient of this all. It costs the same as raw chicken but saves you the time from having to cook it. And it tastes SO good)
- Sauce you like/can digest. For me: tomato sauce (low FODMAP) or red pepper sauce

Boring? Maybe. Healing? Totally.

If you are vegetarian: sub the chicken with eggs
If you are vegan: find a veggie patty that you can tolerate. Beans are hard to digest so try to stick to quinoa/soy based products.

I'm not a doctor or a nutritionist, but with my experience (and frustration!) over the past 6 years of healing my stomach, this plan never failed me. I hope it will help you too!

The full menu will be shared later this week, stay tuned!
