How many avocados should we ACTUALLY eat?

Avocados are God’s gift to humans. It’s no secret that they are one of the most popular and tasty health foods that exists. Food porn is great, and I see many accounts/blogs that exclusively post pics of avocado dishes. But it got me thinking: is there such a thing as eating TOO many avocados?

While avocados are a great source of fiber, vitamin E, folate, and potassium, but it also contains a lot of fat. Yes, it’s the “good kind” of fat, but we should still be aware of how much we consume this delicious fruit (yes, it's a fruit).

According to Women’s Health magazine, if you follow a 2000 calorie diet, you should not have more than 30 grams of fat a day. An average sized avocado has about 30 grams of fat, so realistically we shouldn’t eat a whole avocado in one day. (Remember that other foods we eat also contain fat!)

While avocados are very photogenic and sexy in the health community, I want to bring awareness to this topic. Moderation is key! Even when it comes to the one of the healthiest foods.
